Our school is participating in the very first Walk & Wheel to School Week from October 2-6.
We will be celebrating active travel all week!
Students who walk or wheel (bus, bike, scoot or skate) all or part way to/from school, can put a sticker or a stamp on our school tracking poster which will be located at the front entrance or in the foyer (weather dependent). At the end of the week, we will send a picture of our poster to the Capital Regional District (CRD) to show off our active travelling and a chance to win prizes.
If you are driving, ‘Drive to 5’ – look for a convenient parking location with a safe 5 minute walking route to the school (For example: Archie Browning Parking Lot).
For more information about the campaign visit Active Transportation.
As part of Walk & Wheel Week, the PAC Executive would once again like to encourage families to register their bikes with the Vic PD bike registry program. Forms can be downloaded from the Vic PD website, picked up from the school office or they will available at the Walk & Wheel Week’s poster board at the front entrance of the school. Completed forms can be returned to the school office by Friday, October 15th. Or parents may choose to hand them in at the Esquimalt Public Safety Building at 500 Park Pl or the Victoria Police Department at 850 Caledonia Avenue.
