Would you be ready for an earthquake if it struck today? Is your child’s contact, medical and student release information current? Do you have a family emergency plan?
The PAC, in cooperation with the VCPAC (Victoria Confederation of Parent Advisory Councils), are hosting a parent information event to provide more information about family emergency planning.
The PAC and the VCPAC will be co-hosting a Family Education Night on Emergency Preparedness in the school gym on Monday March 6th, 2017 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Free child minding will be provided on site.
The evening will consist of four presentations:
1. The School Emergency Plan and Student/Parent Reunification Procedures
2. City Emergency Preparedness and Family Emergency Plans
3. Disaster First Aid Facts
4. Helping Your Child Cope after a Disaster
We encourage you to attend this very important information evening. As an incentive, all families who attend the March 6 Family Education Night will be entered into a draw for emergency supplies, including a 4-Person Earthquake Kit ($137 value). All attending families will also receive a coupon for 15% off emergency products from Columbia Fire and Safety.
If you are planning on attending the Education Night on March 6th, please RSVP to email@example.com by March 1st. Please indicate if you need child-minding, and how many children you are bringing. The actual presentations are for adults only (and babies in arms).
If you have any questions please contact the Macaulay PAC firstname.lastname@example.org
